How we describe claims

• Verified facts are supported by reliable, attributable documentation.
• Allegations are identified as allegations and attributed to their source.
• Witness claims are presented as accounts, not automatic proof.
• Folklore is identified as cultural tradition, story, or legend.
• Paranormal claims are described as claims and are not represented as established fact.
• Fictional adaptations are separated from the historical events or people that inspired them.

Horror news, lore and trailers

News coverage checks what was announced, by whom and when, using studio, publisher, developer or distributor sources where available. A trailer is identified by its actual uploader and upload date; an older video is labeled as archive material. We do not treat promotion or speculation as confirmation.

Lore coverage identifies the work and continuity under discussion. It distinguishes the text or screen story from interpretation, adaptations, folklore and documented history. Spoilers are marked when substantial revelations are discussed.

True crime

We avoid glorifying perpetrators and aim to give appropriate attention to victims, the limits of investigations, and legal status. We do not treat ongoing cases as entertainment or substitute speculation for evidence.

Sources and corrections

Where sources are used, they are listed or linked in a manner appropriate to the article. We welcome good-faith correction requests and update material errors transparently.
