This is the official trailer for A24’s 2026 horror film Backrooms, uploaded by A24 on March 31, 2026. It is presented here as a dated archive trailer, not a new September release. The player makes no YouTube request until you choose to load it.
A24 identifies Kane Parsons as the director and Will Soodik as the writer, with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve starring.

The distributor’s current film page offers viewing options and describes a strange doorway in a furniture showroom basement. Its trailer description gave a May 29 theatrical date when uploaded; that date belongs to the film’s original release campaign.
The film belongs to a wider fictional tradition. Our Backrooms origin explainer traces the online image and collaborative storytelling that preceded this adaptation. Those earlier stories are not a documentary record of a real place, and the film should not be treated as a definitive version of every online retelling.
